Chill Chaser Afghan

I have been trying to plan projects to use up my yarn stash and so around last October I started this afghan with the brown yarn I purchased on sale years ago. I think it turned out great!  I made it for my husband, who is tall, so I used a slighter larger crochet hook than what was called in the pattern so it would be long enough to cover his feet!  I also thought this was a nice masculine pattern with the panels of crossed post stitches and the stripes of cream, blue and brown.  Also no fringe, just a reverse single crochet edging which I also think makes a more masculine look.

This is a pattern from the Afghans For All Season 3 book by Leisure Arts.  This is the Chill Chaser pattern from page 117.  The original pattern used grays and red, but like I said I’ve been trying to use up yarns I’ve already purchased so I made my with brown and blue.
